Around Stockholm there are alot of strongholds and in the south of the stockholm-county, on the island of Södertörn there are more than 100 ,
often with a fantastic view........ Here are the 99, I have visited for the last four years.
The Strongholds were used during the bronze-age (1800-500 bc ) until about 600 ac during the iron-age
The stronghold could be a fugitive location for defense or a cultplac for religious and social purposes.
Some of the walls are very symbolic , that is, not very big, more like a direction for the climb
upto the divine view.
The people during the bronze-age were sun-worshippers , as you can see on the rockcarvings ( visit Vitlycke museum)
